“Volynska Yagidka” founded in 2016, grows and sells ecologically clean blueberries, which are in demand among consumers in Ukraine and around the world.
The farm is located in Volyn on the way to the Shatsk Lakes. Currently, 2/3 of the area has been planted. This is more than 380 thousand seedlings.
“Volynska Yagidka” will not only grow blueberries, but over time will be engaged in its processing.
Clean ecological territory, good aura, beautiful acidic soils – the region of Shatsk region is perhaps the most favorable for growing blueberries.
The farm is located on the lands of drained swamps, which means that the main type of soil is peat. Once upon a time, there was a self-planted forest, and there were thickets on these peat areas. The canals were watertight. Many measures have been taken to restore reclamation systems.
Peat bog soils are typical for this culture, so blueberries feel great and continue to give delicious and healthy berries.

To date, 230 hectares of our territory are planted with tall blueberries.
• The first stage of planting was in 2018 – 75 hectares, a total of 5 varieties were planted:

• In 2022, it is planned to sell fresh and frozen berries for export to EU countries, in compliance with all quality standards and packaging requirements.
The technologies and solutions used allow us to achieve the main goal, and it is not only to get a certain harvest, but also – our berries must be sweet, healthy and environmentally friendly. The products must withstand storage for several days without loss of quality.
It is planned to place its own apiary on the territory of the enterprise this year.
Tall blueberries need pollinating insects to ensure normal pollination and a stable high yield. The size of fruits, their ripening and the form of berries depend on pollination.
Honey bees are the most common pollinators of blueberries. 3-4 beehives with bees are placed on one hectare. Bumblebees are also used. Their peculiarity is that they work even on cold and rainy days, while bees prefer dry and warm weather.
Chemical insect repellents are dangerous for insects, which indicates that the farm does not use pesticides that are harmful to the environment.
